PERRY, GA — Retreat Hotels & Resorts (“Retreat”) today announced the opening of its new dual-branded Fairfield by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel located on the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter (“Fairgrounds”) in Perry, Georgia. The 129-key property brings two Marriott brands under one roof, offering 66 TownePlace Suites keys and 63 Fairfield keys.
Designed with inspiration from the region’s agrarian heritage and equine culture, the hotel features a custom aesthetic inside and out, crafted to complement the Fairgrounds and create a welcoming oasis for travelers. Guests will enjoy amenities including 1824 Kitchen & Bar, complimentary breakfast, a spacious pool and spa, a fitness center, guest laundry facilities, and electric vehicle charging stations. Visible from I-75, the hotel is ideally situated on the Fairgrounds and connected via an air-conditioned corridor to the Miller-Murphy-Howard Conference Center. It is the first Marriott property in the Perry market and the only Marriott hotel within a 15-mile radius. The Fairgrounds—located 100 miles south of Atlanta and near Robins Air Force Base—welcomes more than one million visitors annually, positioning the hotel to serve both Georgians and international guests.
“We’re so proud of this hotel—the stunning vision came to life. You have to see it to believe it,” said JJ Singh, President of Retreat Hotels & Resorts. “We’re grateful for our partnership with the Fairgrounds, the City of Perry, Marriott, and our design and construction partners. Together we did something amazing.”
“This has been a long time coming,” said Stephen Shimp, Executive Director of the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter. “We now have a world-class hotel that enhances our operations. The Retreat team has been on-site, attentive to every detail. We thank them and the entire Fairgrounds team for helping us reach this milestone.”
"The Fairfield by Marriott / TownePlace Suites is an exciting addition for Perry and the Georgia National Fairgrounds," said Mayor Randall Walker. "It reflects strong partnerships and thoughtful growth that will support tourism, major events, and our local economy for years to come."
The hotel is now open and welcomes guests at 100 General Courtney Hodges Blvd., Perry, GA.
